LCD Monitor suggestions

I am in the process of replacing one large monitor (26" 25.5 viewable) for two smaller monitors (20-22") for sake of productivity and real estate. Currently, I have a Viewsonic Vx2640w. I'm looking at purchasing two smaller monitors with comparable specs if possible which are as contrast ratio (1,000:1) and brightness 400 cd/m2.

Can anyone provide me with good recommendations? I'm looking to spend about $400-500 total for the pair. Plan on doing gaming, photo editing, and general work on them.

I'd recommend the Dell 2209WA. Its a 22-inch, standard gamut, e-IPS monitor which is great for gaming, movie watching, and photo editing. And its very affordable despite being non-TN:

so these won't have ghosting or anything like that? I noticed some people asking the question in the forum but didn't see it get answer.

Sub 24", I can't think of anything non-TN other than the 2209WA, that would suit your needs. You're undoubtedly coming from a TN, so you could probably save a few dollars and just grab whatever Acer/Asus tickles your fancy and be fine, but if you could afford a pair of those Dells you'd be sitting very good.

After going through the link that was posted, i was able to contact a dell representative and ordered the monitors for $212 each. That's frickin' awesome! I basically replaced my current monitor with two monitors for the same initial purchase price. I will let you know what I think when they arrive, which is eta'd for next week.
