Can a 7-year-old game still look good?

Maybe not, but I had to show off what my Radeon 8500 can do with some sweet TruForm™ tessellation and Smoothvision™ anti-aliasing. Too bad it took so long for tessellation to show up again.

The final blow to the dragon's head at sunset. I love so much about this screenshot, the shine of the armor contrasting the deep shadows caused by the setting sun, the fire from the dragon putting up a fight even at the bitter end, the beautiful sunset shinning over the peaceful trees in the background. This was one of my favorite moments in a game.



I don't know how I got this shot just right but it really does convey the desperation I felt. From the moment it started I new I was outmatched and I just wanted to crawl away.



Shale in the Fade. The first time you go in to the Fade with the golem is amazing. The strange effects they have combined with the shear size and power of the golem is amazing. I tried to get the camera angle to convey what it was like.



Slaying the dragon. This was moments before the first shot and I love it sooo much. It is a great wide screen desktop background.



Funny Entry: Can you find Alistair????? I love this one because you think it is just a okay screenshot with a dragon and then you see what is actually happening and find there is an "amazing" knight who has come to slay the dragon and it isn't going as he planned.

Beauty shot: First time I saw this, I just stopped and stared for a while before moving on.


Comedy shot: Los Angeles street signs and newspaper boxes show up in Rio de Janeiro.

This is the only pretty screenshot I have, apparently! It's from Sins of a Solar Empire: Diplomacy. I am just beginning to assault the starbase you see in the foreground; I paused the game, turned off the UI, and tilted the camera because I thought it looked cool with the star in the background.

^Managed to get out of bounds on the final mission in Reach. Was able to reach the mountain to snap some shots... IT was literally MILES out there. Took forever to reach.

Here goes nothing, thanks to my buddy for showing me this contest. Never visited here before but I really like the site, I think I'll stick around! If you can't notice it by these screenshots, I love taking Halo Reach screenshots, my friends and I are always coming up with new ideas that would make a cool picture. They aren't as difficult to produce as they look, but it's alot of fun!



This one is my classic "THIS IS SPARTA!!!" screenshot, also my favorite Elite assassination animation.


This one was pretty cool, did an assassination in forge in the low-grav area on Anchored with the dark filter in the foreground.


This one actually took quite a while. I had three buddies fire rockets all at the same time behind me into a Scorpion while I pulled the energy sword out at just the right time to get that pose.


Personally my favorite out of this set. Took this in firefight while an elite jumped out of a dropship. I love this one because Bungie makes some of the most epic and beautiful skyboxes.

Apparently Mirror's Edge doesn't want to let me access my saves right now so I can't take new shots of the more beautiful locations in the game. I still like these though.
