So apparently Apple is using a 8MP unit from Omnivision in the iPhone 4S. Decided to post a stats summary here, please fill in or correct details as appropriate:

1. Apple iPhone 4S
8MP, Sensor size: 1/3.2, Aperture size: 1/2.4, using BSI
Single LED flash, 1080p recording (with mono sound?)

2. Samsung galaxy S II
8MP, Sensor size: 1/3.2, Aperture: 1/2.8, using BSI
Singlel-LED flash, 1080p recording with mono recording and no continuous autofocus

3. Nokia N8
12MP, Sensor size: 1/1.83, Aperture: 1/2.8
Xenon flash, 720p recording with stereo sound (CAF with update from beta labs)

4. Nokia N9
8MP, Sensor size unknown, expected 1/3.2, Aperture 1/2.2
Dual-LED flash, 720p recording with stereo recording and CAF

5. HTC MyTouch 4G Slide
8MP, Sensor size: 1/3.2, Aperture 1/2.2, using BSI
Dual-LED flash, 1080p recording with CAF and stereo.

6. Xperia Arc
8MP, Sensor Size 1/3.2, Aperture 1/2.4, using BSI
Single LED flash, 720p recording with CAF and stereo sound

Of course there is a ton of other details: speed, image processor, flash range for example but these are the ones that I could find for now.

From this it says the N9 sensor is 70% the size of the N8 sensor.

That page also confirms stereo sound.

iPhone 4S sensor.

Thanks DancinJack and killdark. Corrected SGS II.
For N9, I found a post by Damian Dinning (Nokia) that N9 has 1.4 micron pixel size, which is the same as SGS II and given similar resolution, I am assuming similar sensor size.
