Help - monitor stuck in sleep

Sun Oct 16, 2011 11:39 am

Hi, i could really use some help. I just got the razor black widow keyboard. I was playing with it and hit the "sleep" button.

Now i cant get my computer out of sleep. I re-booted my computer and my monitor still says no signal. It doesn't look like my keyboard is getting power either.

Per the kb instructions i just have to hit any key, but thats not working.

Any ideas? The monitor is HP ZR24W connected with DVI cable.

Thanks

just brew it!

Are you certain the monitor is actually stuck in sleep, and hasn't just switched over to the analog input? (My Acer X223W has this issue sometimes after the display goes into power save mode.) There should be a button or menu on the monitor that allows you to switch the input source. Have you tried power cycling the monitor?

If that isn't it, try powering everything down, unplug all power cords from the wall outlet, and wait 30 seconds. Plug everything back in and try powering the system up.
Nostalgia isn't what it used to be.
