B&H LG 34UM95-P 34" 3440x1440 back to $899 ends today

B&H has the awesome LG 34UM95-P 34" 3440-1440 ultra wide 21:9 IPS monitor for $899 again just till the end of the day 6-14-14. This is a absolutely fantastic price for a beautiful Panel that will give you pretty much Ultra HD quality while only having around 2.4x the pixels instead of 4x the pixels of a real UHD monitor. Thus making it much easier on current video cards with under 4gb of Vram.

Plus with the ultra wide format it is absolutely great for video editing work. It also has great color reproduction. This monitor is great for all workload since it is basically like having two 4:3 monitors welded together or 4 small 850X720 panels together with no bezels since it supports 4 tiles. Another work example is Microsoft Office programs will show 47 columns and 63 rows in excel.

On top of all that I believe it to be the best format for gaming with the ton of extra peripheral vision ! Also you can enjoy wide screen Movies with no black bars on the top and bottom of the panel " unless it is a movie like Lawrence of Arabia that was filmed in super duper ultra maximum magnum widescreen.

I know I have posted his before but I figured since the deal is going away at the end of the day it would be nice to let people know so they do not pay the $1495 it will retail for. A $595 discount is worth posting.

I saw this thing at Fry's today- I have to admit that it's impressive, and further, that I'd rather have one of these as a wide-screen gaming solution than to have multiple monitors. This is one of those that could use adaptive V-Sync as an upgrade; that's the one technology that I will not exchange monitors without.

But back to the monitor- it's nice. It's also fairly 'natural', and while I'd find it a little cumbersome for photo editing in Lightroom (most cameras shoot stills in either 3:2 or 4:3), it'd definitely still be workable, and obviously Photoshop and Premiere would be excellent with their highly customizable interfaces.
