Looking at new monitor

Postposted on Sun Jul 06, 2014 9:55 pm

After much ribbing still being a member of the CRT club, been checking out the korean IPS monitors. I decided to buy local mainly for the warranty, and was looking at the monoprice and microcenter versions.

I am looking for one that has multiple inputs as my current vid card doesn't have a dual link DVI and I want to be able to use it on my older systems too. So that ruled out the ones with the single dual link DVI. The microcenter one seems the best bang for the buck and with $50 off right now. Anyone own one of these? The reviews I read of it said the MC one was amazingly good for the price, but I always like to make sure before I jump.

Yeesh, that blows! Sorry to hear that! And while I haven't tried a Korean IPS monitor, I've been very happy with my ginormous (to me) View Sonic. Much better than that LG I had.

You're probably better off holding anyway - with cheap 4K60Hz monitors on the horizon and all.
