Hello All,
I have an I7-4770K that I do not bother overclocking as it tops out at 4.0ghz(and will hit 90C+ if I run prime or intel burn test). Recently I upgraded to 16gb of G.Skill DDR3 2400 11-13-13 2x8GB for $75 on Newegg. At first the memory crashed, but I got it to work after a BIOS update. While testing the memory at different speeds for stability I noticed that Intel burn test will get my CPU that is running default voltage and clock to 80-82C in a 68F basement with a Cooler Master Hyper 212 cooler. That seems high, did I just get a bad chip?
Thanks
PS, I'm pretty happy with the new memory it is running at 2400 10-13-13-1T at 1.62v.
