Coolbits

Mon Sep 09, 2002 2:31 pm

Hi. I always use Nvidia's latest "official" reference board drivers, as many third party drivers can often lead into problems due to them adding on bit's of their own. Also, to OC my GF4 Ti4600, I've used a tweak tool called "Coolbits", it's basically a registry entry that requires you to restart your computer after enabling, and it inserts a OC tool which you will find in the graphics cards "Advanced Properties" in the "Settings" tab. This tweak tool is also updated when you install new Nvidia drivers.

Now the question is, how far should i put the slider to overclock the baby into o/c heaven? my current core clock speed is 142 mhz and my memory clock frequency is 166 mhz. how far can i overclock this asus tnt2 pro?

Dont worry about how much the card can handle, as all cards vary a little bit. Worry more on the issues of overclocking to the maximum stable overclock. I have seen that card go knocking on the door of the TI4600 as a side note.
