Thinner case fans?

I'm building a new system today in an Antec Sonata III case.

I've got this graphics card:

GIGABYTE GV-R485ZL-512H Radeon HD 4850 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFire Supported Video Card
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6814125238

which fits in the case fine, but I've also got an Antec Tri-cool 120mm fan that I bought to mount in the somewhat unusual mid-case location that the case has.

When I tried to fit the fan in, there is about an inch of clearance between the fan and the end of the video card. The problem is that the power cord sticks out of the end of the card and bumps up against the fan.

Are there any 120mm case fans that are thinner than the Antec one? They all seem to be 25mm deep- a few are even 38mm.

The thicker the fan the more air it moves hence you won't find many thin 120mm fans. I don't think you will find an smaller than 20m.

Yate Loon has a couple of 120x20 models that are decent.

5mm? Doesn't sound much, but I measured and that could be just the ticket- thank you! They're cheap, so I ordered two of them, a low speed and a medium speed.

There are 15mm thick fans. I've bought a few, mostly to replace CPU fans on old heatsinks, never in 120mm diameter. But I'm sure someone makes such a thing.

If that doesn't work, FrozenCPU carries a few 12mm thick Scythe fans. LINK

12mm? Wow, that's even better. Too bad I already ordered the Yate Loon 15mm thick ones. I'll keep your link in mind in the future, though.

My 12mm case fans came from Yate Loon. They seem nice. I plugged both in, a low rpm and a medium rpm, and decided to go with the low speed model as it was noticeably quieter than the medium one. I put it in and it fits. That Gigabyte 4850 card is a long one, but with the thinner fan I could still get the video card plugged in.

Good to hear it worked out, I think that a lot of people in your position simply removed the fan and live without it.
