Anyone know if anyone has tried using flouroinert instead of water for a cooling solution? Well a home cooling solution, I know Cray Tritons use it so i was just wondering if anyone had tried to apply it for a PC.

[edit] Ok it seems only people in my company and a few others outside call it flouroinert, most places(ie: the manufacturer 3M) call it flourinert. Oh yeah here's a link for a short definition of Flourinert provided by 3M

and while it does use flourinert the addition of liquid nitrogen is more then
what I would want to do.

Bah you know what Tarballs link is good too cause it's the sequel to mine anyone following this thread read that one too.

I had planed on just using a what would typically be used for a water cooling solution. A compressor or something like that.

Keep us posted on this one. Pictures would help .
BTW Cray started using the stuff with the Cray-2. I saw the first Cray-2 installed when I was in college in Livermore, CA. The cooling system consisted of 3 towers of the stuff, with the fluid traveling between them to cool and oxygenate, I believe. They called the machine "Bubbles" and you'd swear it wouldn't look out of place on some OCer's desk now .
