The max is found thru trial and error. There is no set max and each processor gets different results. You'll just have to try your luck.

The general rule of thumb for the KT-133 and KT-133A boards was 10-15MHz extra on the FSB.
Some people have acheived better, but that is the exception, not the norm. Actively cooling the Northbridge and Southbridge chips will help, if you want to go farther.

My max on my KT133 was 115, and on the KT133A 145. I'd agree with the 10-15MHz estimate, though it's a trifle higher than that on some boards. The Iwill KK266, for example, regularly hit 160-170 FSB, even though it was the same chipset as the 140-150 KT7As and A7V133s.

also does the mobo or ram or proc have permanent damage if i do so?

As long as you do it in very small increments, there's little risk of damaging anything. I don't know if there's really any danger of damaging anything, anyways.

I agree about the trial and error but its pretty rare to see more than a 10-15% overclock without taking some extreme measures. One thing I've noticed about the Award jumperless bios on the Abit boards is that going too far often means strange things happening in the cmos/bios, sometimes requiring a reflash to set things right.
