I was not too sure under which topic to post this, but anyway...

I live in North America. I know we cannot play a DVD in PAL format in our standard DVD palyers. But can our DVD-Rom players read them using PowerDVD? or maybe with another specific player software?

many american bought dvd players can play pal dvd's. its an option
of many. if not, theres plenty of hack pages on dvd players that enables
extra regions and takes off the macrovision crap so it doesnt fade in and
out when you record it to another device...
