Ugg. Don't post stuff if you have no clue. Spreading disinformation like that helps no one. RAID5 needs 3 drives, RAID1 copies data across 2 drives (or more, but you just get the space of a single drive regardless of the amount of disks. The reason you can't do RAID 5 is that your controller doesn't support it.
Go RAID1, and use the extra drive alone, or pick up a fourth and do 0+1.
