Seagate 15k.3 vs. Fujitsu 10k

Postposted on Sun Dec 29, 2002 10:43 pm

Was wondering, I'm thinking of getting the new Seagate 15k.3 SCSI drives, and I'm wondering if anyone here has had some experiences running them in a workstation environment. I'm currently running a Fujitsu 10k which is about 4-5 years old, and needs upgrading! What can I expect in terms of performance, stability and noise level from the new Seagates compared to other SCSI performers (Fujitsu, uhm, who else makes SCSI drives??) Yes, I have checked, but I was wondering what personal critics you guys may have on it, both positive and negative. I also noticed that the 15k.3 Seagates are going to be Ultra320 compatible. Any ideas when this new protocol will be out?
