Now everyone knows that a regular harddrive funcitions by reading/writing data to the disks via the head and arm, But what I am wondering is this: What if you added a second read read to the other side of the dirve? I know it would effectivly make the drive at least 1.5 times as long as it was, but would it result in faster seek and transfer rates? I am also wondering if a drive like this would be possible, considering all the math that goes into one of those things, e.g. getting the heads to search correctly, sync up and such.
Just an Idea.
Oh ye of too much faith.
