Hi all, question for intel RST gurus: Running an Asus P5Q deluxe, 2301 bios w/modded raid rst 10.1 rom

System has two SSD's in RAID0 via Intel RST, w/win7 sp1 64bit. System BIOS has rst 10.1 rom, and when I installed win7 I used the "Press F6"/oem rst 10.8 drivers - everything's working fine.

Once intel rst 11.5 is released allowing TRIM on RAID (yeeeeeeeeeey), can I just update the drivers in windows device manager to 11.5 and get the TRIM, or do I have to update the bios rom itself, rebuild the array, and reinstall the OS (of course using rst 11.5 drivers) to get TRIM (and other benefits of 11.5)?

but it does not seem to be specific to new feature sets when updating the drivers in OS software versus bios rom, and google searching did not reveal an answer.

The one response was basically that the bios needs updating, then the windows drivers. Didn't mention if it needs a reinstall of windows.

Unfortunately, my board is EOL (socket 775) and even the 10.1 ROM was modded in - rarely do manufactures update BIOS just to add in a new ROM, so I'll probably have to get one of those BIOs tools at my digital life forms and add it in myself.
I'm sure once the RST 11.5 is actually released, this type of question will become more common.
