Excellent SATA Adventures?

Thu Jun 19, 2003 4:36 pm

So with all the carping here about having to re-jig and stand on your head to use a SATA drive as primary/OS - are there good SATA stories out there?

I've griped about my own SATA experience and have asked this question before...

Is there a MB that plays well with SATA yet?
You may be right, but I know darn well you're wrong...

I'm happy with my 2 Raptors and Highpoint Raid controller....but I can't speak to the onboard controllers....I've heard bad stories too. :)

But I will say I really, really enjoy the lack of ribbon cables. I have one rounded IDE cable to my optical drives, which I couldn't seem to get working with IDE>Serial adaptors.
