Hard drive not registering

So I just built my first computer and I am using one 60GB SSD harddrive and a 1TB mechanical hard drive. For some reason when I go to My Computer the mechanical one is not there. I have checked BIOS and the drive is definitely there and the computer knows it. Also when I installed my operating system (Windows 7) it asked if I wanted to use the mechanical or SSD to install it (obviously I chose the SSD). I went into BIOS again and tried to enable the hot plug or something (not sure what that is) but that didnt work. SO I was wondering if anyone knew what the problem is and how to fix it. Thanks

The mechanical hard drive is a SAMSUNG Spinpoint F3 HD103SJ 1TB 7200 RPM 32MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive

Indeed. Stick around, I'm sure you'll get yourself into trouble again sooner or later, like we all have :D

Go into Start, in the Search Programs and Files type "Computer Management", no quotes. Then go to Storage > Disk Management. There you will see all your disk. Is your mechanical drive marked as active and assigned a drive letter? If not you need to do so or it will not appear in My Computers. Hope that helps.

Never mind, I misread your reply and thought you said yeah it is but still not working. :D
