Storing Drives

So its been forever since I've purchased 10-20 drives... but now that I've got at least that many spare drives laying around. I've been searching for a non-McGyver way to store them.



These are exactly what I've seen in the past and wish I had held onto one. Anyone know where someone could buy one of these for very cheap? Or a similar like solution? I've like to use it as a spot to store new and used drives that I've cleared off for use in spare machines. I've seen this same question asked across multiple forums, but no one seems to be able to find a packaging/shipping company that sells them. Seems very odd/unlikely.

Eh... Just buy some antistatic mylar pouches (similar to original packaging), put HDDs into them and stack them on some shelf... Why do you need this foam packaging? Do you live in some seismically active area?
Also, occasionally searching eBay for "bulk hard drive shipping container" may also produce useful results

The anti-static bags make for a horrible way to store them. Ya, I've seen them stored that way for a long time, but they can slip off the pile and take a nasty fall. The other option but still slick are these.



I'm attempting to clean up my shop and have a nice, neat and clean way to store different computer parts without piling them on-top of each other in plastic pull out drawers. It looks tacky and is a horrible waste of space. I'd like to have this place as organized as possible. Part of that may include me finding a similar storage solution for RAM and video cards... Although for video cards I saw an interesting solution that was way over priced for "Show". Was a indiegogo project or something. Was basically a weighted down PCI-E (or AGP/PCI options too) blank slot that acts as a stand for your video card. That's just a pure waste unless you want the card out for viewing for some odd reason.

The HDDs are quite resilient when it comes to falls, especially when they are not powered... Anyway, like I said, do an eBay search, you'll find similar foam containers.
