I'm unsure of how Windows 7 backup works, but ideally new documents, pictures, outlook contacts etc. A whole system backup might not be completely necessary in this case if it creates a more complex process since I will not be the one using it.
This is for a family members home computer I am building. Was going to put an SSD in since for the past 4 years no more than ~40 gigs of data have been added to their current system. I figured a 240gb SSD would be a nice upgrade in performance in exchange for decreased space. Was going to use the existing WD 500gb as a regular backup and place to put older unused files. I am still unclear if this is possible to do easily and regularly between an SSD and HDD.
The goal is to make the process as trouble free as possible since the person using it just wants a hassle free backup, and I will not always be around to ensure everything is consistently backed up. If it's easier to just keep using the HDD I will do that, but otherwise it would be great to have the speed of the SSD in there.
