Wed Jul 30, 2003 11:40 am

right i think my ide controller is having a nevous breakdown i Did some HHD diagnostic software from maxtor all HHD scan as ok .. so it must be my ide controller. I've tried new cables but still get 2 errors.

im gettin these two errors

The driver detected a controller error on \Device\Harddisk1\D.

A parity error was detected on \Device\Ide\IdePort0.

Are you by any chance using rounded IDE cables? They mess with signal integtrity and could be a potential source of your problem.
What we have today is way too much pluribus and not enough unum.

Also if you have your system OCed, that can cause data errors. I would also change your cables to see if that is the problem.
