Anyone know how to change the Icon Text Color(on the desktop) for win XP??
Windows XP - The 64-bit wannabe with a 32-bit graphics interface for 16-bit extensions to a 8-bit patch on a 4-bit operating system designed to run on a 2-bit processor by a company that can't stand 1-bit of competition

I did a bit of a google search, and so far the best bet I found was microangelo http://www.impactsoft.com/ a shareware icon editing utility. I haven't found anything free as of yet.

Not sure about WinXP, but in earlier versions the desktop icon text color would be either black or white and depended on the background color you had selected.

They wrote a cool little utility, called transtext, to not only change your text color but the background color too. Which I use as tranparent to avoid to ugly boxes surrounding your text when you have a cool wallpaper. Now I just have text just floating above the picture. Works with XP too.

There is also transparent43.exe, small app that clears the box around text and also has 4 options for text color I believe

You could also use Iconoid.
