hard drive in personal folder

After installing Windows 7 I tried moving some of my personal folders to another hard drive but something strange has happened:

When I tried to move the location of the "My Pictures" folder to another hard drive (using the location tab) the "My Pictures" folder disappeared and instead I now have that hard drive in my personal folder.
1) How do I remove that hard drive from my personal folder?
2) Can I get that "My Pictures" folder back? I can create another folder called "My Pictures" but it's not the same and it doesn't have a location tab either.

I am also willing to settle for a way to reset the whole personal folder, it is a fresh install so the folders are still empty.

Use explorer to browse to your Desktop folder. You'll see a folder under that with your user name. In that folder, you'll see a bunch of other folders. Mine has Contacts, Desktop, Downloads, Favorites, Links, Music, My Documents, My Music, My Pictures, My Videos, Pictures, Saved Games, Searches, Tracing and Videos, for example.

For each of those folders that you'd like to locate on a different drive, right click on the folder icon and select Properties. Select the Location tab. Enter the location that you'd like for these files to be saved, and click on "Move".

I've used this method to move nearly all of my user files from my SSD boot drive to one of the mechanical hard-drives running in this system.
