I created a new user. How can I transfer the windows settings done for the old user to the new user profile?

Right Click: Computer
Left Click: Properties
Left Click: Advanced system settings
Left Click: Settings... under the User Profiles category
Left Click: Copy To... within the User Profiles

Thanks for the reply.
I logged in by the old user id and followed the above.
What I see in the "User Profiles" are Default Profile, the old user and the new user. If I click on the old user, the "Copy to" is greyed and unavailable. I checked another machine where two users are but it behaves the same as above.
What am I doing wrong?

You can't be logged into the account to you which you want copy from or "Copy To..."

You need a third account. You can delete that account once you've finished the copy. Or you can temporarily re-enable the Administrator account. Just pretty, pretty please disable it again once you're done.

Still no go. I enabled Administor account and logged in to it.
Now I see four profiles because the Administor is added. But what I stated previously is still applicable. The only profile for which "Copy to..." is enabled is the "Default Profile".

Open "Network and Sharing center"
Left click "Advanced Sharing center"
Turn off password protection sharing and save changes.

If this doesn't work then unfortunately I don't think I can provide a means for you. Technically Microsoft wants you to use Sysprep for this purpose and so the Copy To... toolset is purposely hampered.

You can learn more here.

You can also try this utility. I make no promises that it will work or even a presumption of its safety. It does need to be run as an Admin to carry out this task.

Assuming that one of these fixes the problem for you, please remember to disable the Admin account again and to enable password protected sharing again.

The Windows Enabler enabled that "Copy To..." on W7 but not on W8. My current problem is actually with W8.
Thanks anyway. It's good to know such utility for W7 which I am still using.
