java in troubled waters

i am trying to install jdk1.3 on a p4 1.5 / 845 / 128sd pc133 / 20 gigs (10+10 part.)

i am facing a unique problem.
when ever i try to compile anything in it , gives me a error message.
this happens with all the wondows os 98-me-2k
etc. ann doesnt seem to happen in a p3 when installed from the same cd.
also ive tried outting in a diff hdd, ram and other components, but the same problem.
the p4 works fine on every other software, but only jdk is in trouble. do lemme know if ya can help me out.

Some Java DLLs will not recognise a P4, and just error out. This includes some Oracle install programs and Symantec Java runtimes. Refer the Intel website for info.
