Conspiring to kill...

Thu Apr 11, 2002 12:28 am

I'm planning on murdering my friends Mac OS this weekend and replacing it with Linux, but I'm a virgin in the Linux world. Everyone says Mandrake is the best to learn on, but is it the best for a Mac? I'm pretty sure I read that 8.0 is their first attempt at a PPC based system and still has a few known bugs. Anyone have experience with Linux on a Mac? Any advise or suggestions? Thanks, I appreciate it.

Mandrake is really an x86 focused distro. If you're looking to put linux on a Mac, I'd recommend looking into Yellow Dog Linux. http://www.yellowdoglinux.com
