I am halfway there . . bought my Belkin F5D7000 ver5100 today and the system recognized it right away when i typed iwconfig.

I have it setup to access my network.

I am trying to setup the WEP key using iwconfig ath0 key, but get the return of: "bash: syntax error near unexpected token 'newline' ".

Anyone ever ran into this? I am scouring the net trying to find out where I went wrong but am coming up with nothing really. I feel that I am close but can't get over that hump.

Never mind. I am a tool to say the least.

All I had to do is select my wireless network from the list given when I click on the connection icon at the top, then put in my WEP key. ALl works well now.

Please use something stronger than WEP as a security system if you want anything more than slight peace of mind. WPA2-AES FTW!
