There's no 64-bit version of DSL (it's intended for older hardware) but it will run a treat on 64-bit hardware, provided that it has drivers for all of your hardware. It will almost certainly run the video in VESA mode, and I don't remember if it supports SATA drives or not.
The embedded package isn't for burning -- it's for running inside a virtual machine. You want to download the plain .iso file from DSL's website. You shouldn't need the SYSLINUX version, that's for older h/w.
