EAccess Violation using Wine . . .? - updated

I recently installed Hardy Heron on my Linux box and decided to give Wine a try to be able to use CoffeeCup HTML editor the same as on my XP box.

It installed alright (maybe not), but now whenever I start the program, I get an Application Error in the form of:

Exception EAccessViolation in module Coffee.exe at 7F70AB18. Access violation at address 7F70BB18. Write pf address 00000000.

I googled it and got two things - sound problems for Realtek chips, and HDD access violations.

Anyone have any insight on getting rid of this violation?

Thanks.

As an update:

I re-installed Ubuntu and didn't bother installing wine anymore. Instead, I installed VirtualBox and have XP running inside of the VM. I just have to setup the shared folder stuff now (I'll probably screw that up - but that's how you learn right?). Works well enough for now.

I didn't fully understand how to setup the VM that came with Ubuntu (at least to get the GUI up and running), and VMware was just too much (and I'm not paying for it).
