Small/Tight/Hardened Linux

I am looking for a small footprint Linux with Apache/PHP/ODBC. I would love to have 200-300meg download package that would do it.
Looking to do an appliance that we simply monitor and get to remotely. Looking for a tight Linux solution aimed at web serving.

Ubuntu server edition has all of that, IIRC. I don't know about size though.

the basic ubuntu server install is about 300-450 MB. You can probably trim some fat of that though

Also worth a look at Debian Stable as long as this is not on too modern hardware.

You could try Ubuntu JeOS and tell it to install just the stuff you need. Same trick off Debian Netinst.
