How to uninstall tar.gz installed programs

Anybody?
I installed mozilla1.4 and broke Galeon, so I've decided to switch back to Mozilla 1.3 on Mandrake 9.1.
Mothership: FX-8350, 12GB DDR3, M5A99X EVO, MSI GTX 1070 Sea Hawk, Crucial MX500 500GB

If you installed simply from unpacking a tarball, just delete the Mozilla directory and that should be all.

Linuz Moz also comes in a version where you actually run an installer script; I dont know how to uninstall that one. I'm sure the mozilla site will have info.

the ~/.mozilla directory contains your profile and settings so you'll want to delete that if you want to start totally fresh w/ 1.3

Not sure why installing Moz would have borked Galeon though... Let us know if figure out why.

Just delete the Moz dir and reinstall another version.

You need to delete the profile directory too. I am not sure where it is located.

Ah, I see. It's that easy!
I had to uninstall mozilla 1.3 before intalling 1.4, ya see. And so Galeon, with dependencies, has to go as well...

It'll probably be a hidden directory called .mozilla, ls -A should show it.
