Kicked off the top 10!

Wed Jul 03, 2002 10:04 am

Comon guys (and gals?), we have been booted from the top 10 yet again, time to pull out the reserves! We MUST at least stay in the top 10!

Your bargaining posture is highly dubious.

Has to be the top 10 in weekly production. I dont think we have a real shot for the top 10 overall for quite some time.

Weekly

Wed Jul 03, 2002 3:57 pm

Yeah, I meant weekly production rates. I have my work machine constantly chugging, but the home machine is intermittant. Being on the top of a hill leads a person to unplug the computer when there is at all a threat of lightning. Of course that could mean a new machine for the price of a deductable... hmmm

I've got my current 4 boxen running 24/7 now. Almost...there's a Cele 766 thats running part-time. :(

I'm bringing a Dual MP 2000+ at work online soon.

I'd like to sneak up behind PRIME1 into the top 10 asap! :D

Actually, based on numbers, it looks like we are very close to the 9th and 10th place competitors in weekly numbers (ArsTechnica and Alliance). We are going to zip up to 12th place - then stagnate for quite a while - since the only three we can catch at that point have about double our overall total.

That's a bit hard GiT (oh dear ), you have to think of it in steps, getting closer and closer and then overtaking...

Tell Kurtahl and Damage they're stagnating, I dare you :-),

I won't take your dare - because it isn't Khutarl or Damage who are stagnating. Now ... a list of inactive members who are actively posting ... hmmm. (How much has production dropped with college out for the summer?)

I guess stagnating isn't really the right word, since we would still be gaining. It's just that once we hit 12th place, we will be about 50,000 behind the next person we could pass - and only gaining about 2,000 a week on them. That's approximately 6 months of sitting in 12th place.

Aye, getting into the top for overall production is not an easy nor a quick task, it will take time and dedication. But I know that for the most part, those who are participating will continue to do so. I myself keep finding more hardware to put into the mix.

:( I've only got a 65 point lead on Damage so I expect to be passed within the next day or so. My production levels have roughly been the same. I average 500 point weeks. Damage has been pulling down nearly 1000 points a week. No way I can compete with that.

Also, I think that the summer heat has hindered my production.
