I've been wondering the same thing. SOG and myself both have 3 GPU nodes, That combined with my 8800GT cards mean we should be doing better than we are now.
That's not even taking into account anyone else at all.
What is up with our numbers?

It could be the WU mix right now.

PinTO's scores don't seem to be affected much. I was getting crappy SMP WUs but we are talking about a drop from 900ppd down to 500ppd. We are at least 25000ppd down from our "usual" rate of output. Since you said your main rig is up, I am going to speculate that you have another rig not back online yet and GJ is still on hibernation with may be just 1 rig going (he's trying to sell his GTX 295 too but I think that one has been down the whole summer). 25k ppd is like 2-3 GPU folding nodes down. I'm still doing my part the whole time with a comparatively small 1300-1700ppd through 2 SMP nodes. I'm hoping to bring up another one soon (with the WHS build I am planning), but I'm limiting my budget so it is not going to be like an i7/i5 monster. At best it is going to be another 900-1000ppd but that's about it. A bit later than that there will be a contraction and one of those 2 older nodes will be retired. :(

Certainly with the days of 30k+ ppd collectively, a few hundred points swings won't be that significant?

All points are significant and all efforts are appreciated. :D We need more gerbils in the Nation.

Back up to 40k points, so that means we are still down 10k points to our "usual" 50k points a day. Jeffry have you got your farm back up yet or you will be staying with 1 box for a little while longer?

I have been getting some weird EUEs on my WinSMP box, don't know if they give partial credits, but some WUs are getting through and my Linux VM is still chugging along. I need to get that WHS box built.

I haven't folded for a while but is it normal for the GPU client to finish one workunit and then stall for hours until I restart it whereupon it downloads a new workunit?

If the client did absolutely nothing then it is not normal. However, if it was trying to contact the assignment and/or WU servers, failed, and was retrying a lot, that happens quite a bit. Can you check the logs to confirm?

I ran into a recent spate of EUEs on my GTX 260. I deleted the queue, unitinfo, work files several times and even deleted the cores in case they had become corrupted. It lasted several days and now it is stable again. :-? :)

Hang in there! :P

Now that is weird, my GTX260 has been the most stable folder. Sorry, Jeffery55, the folding farm I have now, craps out every now and then. I expect it, but it is not helping us!!

Still folding away. I'm getting the farm CPU to produce 1K points on the CPU alone. It is a great little processor and I'm extremely proud of our boy!

I had some initial troubles with the folding node that jeffery sent me, but it has been 100% stable once I sorted out some bugs. To be honest I only check on it once every few days or so, and it is always just churning away. My 8800GT rig is all but dead I think. It's crashing fairly regular now in both dual and single mode. I'm gonna have to find the source of the problem. I'm worried it may be the mobo. I'm going to be spending some time troubleshooting it with alternate ram, PSU, HDD, etc. to see if I can make 'er stable.

I've got my two videocards running (GTX285 and 9800GTX+). I just sold my GTX295. After reading the 5870 review I figured I should get rid of it before its value plummeted. I got $344 for it on Ebay (which is what I paid for it)

Future upgrade could be two 5850s or a 5870 to replace my GTX285. I want to see how the AMD cards fold, but the noise levels and low power draws are very very tempting. Not to mention the performance.

Better wait on that, from the shortbread yesterday, sites are claiming that ATi cards just suck on points when it comes to folding. They are waiting for OpenCL to kick in the cards can be better tuned for folding. But hey, it is your money and your candy, soget what you want. Just giving the heads up.

Have no fear! I'm in no hurry to replace my GTX285. I usually wait for videocards to show up on Newegg's open item list. That's how I got the GTX295 for $329 back when they retailed for $549.

Yea, I have always thought that getting video cards as an open item was always the smart thing to do. Maybe you'll get lucky and the open item will have Black Friday prices on them.

Sorry gents, it seems I've missed out on the Halloween fun. I've been a bit under the weather, and will likely not be home in time to change the machines there over to Frankie.
At least it still seems I'm still getting some work done for the UGN, so at least I'm not totally useless. Just keeping the UGN warm for you guys until after Halloween.

By the by, is there anyone else still pushing numbers for the UGN? Production seems pretty good considering folks are migrating over to Frankie...

UGN has been a big supporter of Frankie. However the fact that UGN production still remains pretty good and Frankie kind of stuck in the 10k ppd "doldrums" I would say not many of the rigs have been moved yet. Must be people too busy or simply forget. :(

Especially those GPU folders.
