Did about 700k of that in 1.9~ years on one computer (E6600 at various modes of overclocking) with the SMP client when it was available and with dual single core clients before that. Then I did 300k in about 2 months peaking at 10k/ppd with a 8800GTS 320MB, a 8800GT 512mB, and 2 SMP clients with a Q9300.

Now it is time to retire the Mark` handle and put my points towards TRFrankenbot in the immediate future and, later, towards UnitedGerbilNation. At least, until I want to break 2 million points :P

Some dope () re-config'ed my GPU client, and mistyped my username.

And I didn't figure it out (because of the recent GPU core update causing my OC'ed GPU's to crash a lot, lately, and my greedy way of only slowing it down one step at a time instead of starting over from scratch) for several days.

My brag is, I discovered it about 45 minutes ago. D'oh. Not really. My brag is that my original folding GPU, the 9600GT w/ 256 MB, turned in its 1000th WU recently, though there have been a number of early unit ends recently, so I'd have gotten there sooner if not for that.

Wish I could get Regnar_Dan's points added to mine.

This is a bit off topic, but this is a bragging thread. I want to brag about my Dad. He made some bad choices in his life and ended up in very poor health and broke at the age of 61. I became his guardian/conservator 2 years ago and have had to basically "raise" him as if he were my kid. Talk to all of his doctors, spend all of his money for him, worry about how he'd pay his bills, etc... I can't really describe the effort it's taken to stay sane.

Anyway, he's been doing very well this year, and two days ago, he quit smoking. He was smoking three packs a day two months ago and now hasn't had a smoke in two days. He's been taking care of himself and is actually almost off the insulin pills he'd had to take for many years.

Things like this make the pain he's put me through worth it. And now he'll get to see his grandson grow up.

I know I fold for the "other" team, but I just cracked 4,000,000 points after having folded since early 2001 (maybe 2000). Took me nearly 27,000 WU to do it, too.

And why exactly would you fold for any team other than TechReport? COME, WE ARE BROTHERS!!!

It seems to be.... 512 MB is not enough space to hold the work for six instances of 64-bit folding on a 24-core machine. I only got 46% of my first six WUs folded, then I ran out-of-space. Now I've gotta' figure-out how to sneakernet the work to a machine with fewer cores.

I dunno what happened... I'm guessing Stanford changed the mix of WU's they're releasing so that my PPD jumped severely in relation to AMD folders or something.

Project Top 1000 !!!

... and then some.

compared to that, my 41217 points and 89 WUs are pathetic, but i got past my old score (had a pause in folding) and am producing little bit more that 2000ppd on a Radeon HD4850... just thought i should share, because no one understands me what am i talking about when i mention this offline 8)

My original SMP machine turned in its 500th WU yesterday after about 2 years and 4 months of work. Not the fastest, but still chugging away, and it was still fairly impressive back in 1997. I'm also closing on large numbers for each of my GPU's, which I'll hopefully make note of when the occasions arrive.

Thanks. And if I had an HD on my C2D folding box, maybe I would have a count of what it's done. But every time I have to restart that machine, *poof*, no more count. Mostly due to hairy edge overclocking, but since it averages ~1.47 WU's each day, and it's been running over 550 days (though at first I wasn't able to get it as far OC'ed as now), it's easily done more than that.

My 9600GSO turned in its 2000th completed WU today, having run almost constantly since early September 2008. It's not as stable as my other GPU folding, but then I'm overclocking this one in a warm machine even though it's not a particularly high performance device. The stock shader speed is 1700 MHz, but it's at 1852. It may go into another machine when the card I just ordered arrives, but I won't know until size measurements and testing are complete.

My 8800 GT-256 turned in its 3000th WU today, having run constantly since probably around July 7-8, 2008. Cost me $76.98 net of rebate, excluding electricity.
