As soon as stats update, I should break the 100,000 point barrier.

I'm up to 14,000 ppd. woohoo
Although I'm at 440,664 points total so I've got a long way to go still.

Just posted 10k points yesterday and 11.9k points in the last 24 hours. Also, I broke the top 20 PPD (5,606 PPD) coming in at #18 for the first time.

According to EOC and Stanford, I'm among the top 1000 folders world wide, which is surprising.

Also, I fixed my C2D... it was, disgustingly, the Crucial Ballistix memory which was the problem. I tried Corsair in it and it kept crashing but at least it would boot. I'm still not sure what's wrong with the Corsair if anything, I'll have to go look up its specs. to see if something needs changed to make it work. But I had another pair of Crucial Ballistix because until now I thought they were good so I bought them a few months ago when there was a good deal after $30 MIR, and the CPU's running at 3 GHz. Not quite as fast as I had it before, and I have the RAM running at slower than stock speed (effective 750 MHz instead of 800) and 2.1v as specified.

I need to find a good brand of memory to use, since Crucial may have turned to crap. Maybe Mushkin... I used to buy them a lot.

And oh yeah, finally, I'm at 2222222 points right now for another hour or so. Not really something to brag about, but it's a coincidence.

Yeah you're gaining on me like crazy. If it weren't helping the team, I'd be more disturbed by that than I am. Does make me wonder if I could sell one of my machines and buy a video card instead, though. :o

I was just lucky my old machine was a crossfire board (RD580) that can do 16x on both slots and it's just a S939. Both the 8800GT 256mb cards are half my PPD. Now I just need Vista on that machine so I could run SMP too.

Vista Basic 64 is $90 at Newegg. I noticed someone reviewing it there mentioned using it for a dedicated folding box. It would be better if Stanford/nVidia made the graphic folding work for Linux, though.

Until I get my next electricity bill, I think I'll remain 8th in output on our team. That is pathetic for the rest of you.

I get almost half of my output from my 8800GT w/256 MB. Everyone on TR should have got one when I did, with the $30 MIR. You can get a faster one with 512 MB for $110 at Buy.com today. Of course, now we may have to be concerned about the GPU croaking, but hopefully people won't OC them too much. I have a separate fan blowing on mine to keep it cool, though.

I agree it's kinda lame the PPD numbers TR overall is putting out. I guess there just isn't a lot of folding love at TR anymore. If people were dedicating the same kind resources today as were dedicated a couple of years ago I'd think our PPD would be much higher. That's given that there are much higher PPD clients available today than back then. Of course, I really have no idea of what I speak... I'm just guessin...

Its that the dedication wouldnt lead anywhere man.

So you borged every machine at your workplace. They'd likely all be single core machines. Congrats you just got another 1000 ppd.
Big news before SMP and GPU2. Not all that relevant now

But think about all the idle Dual cores and GPU2 client capable videocards out there in TR land? That's what we need :P

I just checked our daily output... http://folding.extremeoverclocking.com/ ... ?s=&t=2630

Of course Mr. Pessimist me should have looked at TR's PPD today before remarking earlier. It is definitely trending up since the call to arms. Perhaps things are going better than I'm imagining. I think my pessimist side is really out cause UGN is in a slump :( and there are not so nice Gerbils out there threatening me with evil deeds (cue evil music and evil laughter of fuzzface and EffBeeDub)

My weakling Barton 2600+ running at... I forget, something over 2000 MHz, on Win2k, with a single core client, is generally producing ~250 PPD or so. Sometimes more depending on the WU. So every bit helps. I expect to retire that machine soon, but for the time being it's still running and eating power.

I have my lesser machines running for my old ID "Darwin00214" Well, there is a PS3 in there, but the rest are laptops running the standard graphical clients... few hundred here, few hundred there... it's all good. I may even move up the ranks!

Hey JPinTO would you mind unchecking the "Disable BBCode" option? :P

Is JPinTO_Test your other self? It's making the top 20 producers too! :o

I find it strange it's so easy to make it into the top 20. You only need 7k PPD to get there. I know I know, that's a big PPD, but, consider this.

If you look at the top 15 teams we have one of, if not THE, highest PPD per team member. Currently, 314 members making 673k PPD. That's over 2,000 PPD for average Joe folder on team TR. :o You'd just think the top 20 were even higher PPD producers to get that kind of average. I dunno, facts is facts I guess. I suppose I will just have to come to terms with things.

It gives a little break down on the EOC stats summary page for each team (by the Top 20 Producers list).

HardOCP has 46% of their folders at 800+ PPD and above. Alliance Francophone has 17% of their folders above 800 PPD. We have 60% of our folders above 800 PPD.
