The GPU2 client is really hot right now. You can get 5000 points per day with an NVidia 8800 or 9800 GPU and a single core CPU! :o You can download the GPU2 client here. Just remember Username=UnitedGerbilNation and Team Number is 2630! :wink: :D

Downloading and installing the Windows Console, Graphical or GPU Folding Client is very easy. Just download the client you want at the Folding@Home website and follow the installation instructions.

Here is a link to the "Welcome to Team 2630" Sticky. It has a guide for downloading and installing the Linux Console Folding Client.

This link is to "The Easy SMP Client Install Guide" for running the Linux SMP client using VMWare and Linux on a Windows OS.

You can use the same set of instructions to download and install the Linux SMP Folding Client. The SMP Client works with multicore processors and provides a significant points performance improvement over the Console client. Substitute the name of the SMP executable file (fah6) when you type in the command line to start the client.

actually, i agree with you on this one. as i said, im new here, but i already started talking to all of my friends about this. maybe i will get them to help me. maybe not, but i will not rest until all of my resources are depleted. and then i'll keep on searching for new ones.

if asskicking doesn't work, trying buying them beer or something (candy if you're underage) the sugar rush/drunkeness will make them impressionable.

I've actually been folding for myself: the plan is to get my old AXP folding, then upgrade this to a 4400 X2 (should churn through some WU's :D), and get a mobo + mem to use this 3200 as a diskless.
Early days yet though, I might fold for UGN till i get my mini farm up actually - its goin through ~100ppd, and rising.

Me too me too i fold for the UGN! With my one and only A64 3200+. but maybe when i can be bothered getin off my arse i can plug in and fold with some old P3s and an AXP that are around but only for a litl bit a day.
