Some important F@H Links - UPDATED 1/3/06

Wed Nov 13, 2002 11:28 pm

Extreme Overclocking's F@H stats:
http://folding.extremeoverclocking.com/team_list.php?s=

TR's EOC Stats:
http://folding.extremeoverclocking.com/team_summary.php?s=&t=2630

Howto article on how to set F@H up on a Win2k/WinXP box.
http://www.techreport.com/etc/folding/

The Stanford Folding page:
http://folding.stanford.edu/

Written by Dissonance, a great article detailing the effects of running F@H in the background, excellent read:
http://www.tech-report.com/etc/2002q4/foldingimpact/index.x?pg=1

A link to the big forum community board, which is an excellent place to have some friendly rivalry and get some help with problems:
http://forum.folding-community.org/index.php

Folding@Work
http://www.foldingatwork.com/

Kakao's Stats site
http://fahstats.com

Folding in Linux help
http://www.ocforums.com/showthread.php?t=372478

If you find any other articles, news items, anything really that is of interest to F@H post here and I'll update the list as we go by.

***EDIT BY IDCHAFEE 1/3/06 - removed dead link***

Also by idchafee: there are other links in the following posts that may or may not work - I don't vouch for those links and I really don't want to go through 2 pages of posts trying out and editing all the links. So the ones in this post are the only ones I'm vouching for. If there are any problems with the links in this first post, let me know. Thanks!

Statsman has changed his domain, I prefer the layout to Dyyryath's. Only problem is you can't get details on your individual person/team

*link gone wild removed* Thank you, jeffry55!

finally, natural colors :P

EDIT: it doesn't seem to update as often though :(

farmpuma edit (08 October 2008): removed bad link

Also this should probably be here, or one like it. This is a link to a place that has files for running Folding as a service.

The new client has a built in service installer. You just tell it you want it to run as a service when you set up the config.

I can think of a reason or two that someone might want/need to run the older versions. You never know....

Then they'll have to find an old version of firedaemon or pay for it. The new one is no longer free.

If you're running a Mac, there's fewer guides about how to get it set up, especially if you have a dual machine.

I figured it out from the MacOSX team's great page,
http://teammacosx.homeunix.com/forum/cg ... f=10;t=172

The trick is to get and run "InCrease".. it makes it easy.
