So close to 10k!!!! Smoked Fish sounds good....

I've got a 3Ghz Opty going and a 2.6Ghz 4800X2 both running SMP clients...

Actually, I've got my own Frankenbox sitting here too (Needs a PSU). Just went and looked... Guess What!! I have an old 350W PSU! WooHoo!!!
It's only an single core Athlon 3500 (Ubuntu OS), if the PSU is OK it should be strong enough for a few days at least.... Might be just enough to push Franky over 10k!!

Now I just have to figure out how to install FAH on Ubuntu!!

Oh well, I'm off to work on my own Frankenbox for a few..... 8)

Thanks Flyby.... Just got the machine up and running (posting from it now!)

I built this machine to learn Linux and right after I'd put it together the PSU in my HTPC died so I had to scavange it! Needless to say I'm not very good with Ubuntu , may take me awhile, but I'll figure it out...

Thanks for the links!!

Opty 185 @ 3 Ghz
4800X2 @ 2.6 Ghz
AMD3500@ 2.4 Ghz

Holy crap. We are at 15k ppd, with a 26,842 day 2 days ago and 21,262 so far today. :o
Unfortunately, our next conquest has 56,490 more points than us and is at 4k pdd, so we'll have a hard time passing him.

The good news is that TRFrankenbot is tied for #67 in the world in ppd (24 hr avg), and 20k ppd would put us @ #35. We are at #31 in points in the last 24 hours with 25k putting us @ #20. We are at # 900 in total points in the world.

I think it possible that some of the high output you're getting right now is because the 65.56 server is crediting points that were never credited in the past. I'm still waiting for some, but some people in this thread at the folding forum have begun getting their overdue credits, anyway.

Yeah that is some of it, but if you count the 9 dual cores (5xe6300 4x3600x2)I have running at 800pts/day, that is 7200 pts/day, now I figure the 20 single core athlons ought to be good for 120 pts/day each so thats another2400 pts. that means TRF should be kicking about 9600pts/day just from here.

I actually still have 13 single core athlon TRF bots, but 4 of them are slow procs and I am going to swap them with axp2400's when my other X2's come and I have time.

I'd never doubted Rudy.... Umm USA's team spirit! Hey he was the OP!!

Just a reminder... It IS Halloween!!!

I was hoping we'd see the highest PPD today (It's actually dropped a little).
I just double checked all my stuff..... Did we ever hit 16k? I know we got close!

Oh Well.... If all you BBQ guys would join TRFrankenbot (just for today!) Maybe even Segfault7 would take notice (Evil Grin...) 8)

cass: You're kind of crazy spending all that electricity money for F@H. I'm going to be shutting down at least one of my old machines when I get the new box I'm building going. I'm not sure how much difference the electricity cost will be, but at least part of it will be offset by stopping the other machine.

I'm trying to make it so I don't have to run the extra window A/C 6+ months a year, of course, since that also adds an amount to my bill.

Of course it's your money and decision, but I'd definitely have a tough time spending all that extra money, especially on the older, lower-output machines.

Well I did commit to host TRF. And I have had most all of the single core stuff off for a long time because the power bill got to be ungainly.

This was a special occasion so I fired up what I could without spending a lot of time, and it gave me a chance to incorporate Notfred's stuff which has been a goal of mine since Notfred announced the "universal" 64bit or 32bit diskless.

I did the math a while ago, and that is why I am going with the Brisbane x2's. $30. mb's, and $65.00 cpu's and $25.00 for 1gig of ram makes a very cost efficient points maker that replaces from 4 to 6 Athlons, and uses about 20W less power than one of the palomino power piggies. I was spending $200/month on power, and I turned off the farm and started buying stuff using the savings. Updating my 6 work pcs was a write off, but the farm is my dime.

I'll probably retire all the xp1600-xp1800-xp2000-xp2200's and only keep the tbred 2400 up stuff in TRF now. I will have enough from my rejects to populate TRF's 13 nodes with good boards and procs.

I will let all my x2's complete the TRF WU they are currently on then switch.
