How long should it take?

Tue May 27, 2008 9:51 am

Alright, last night I set up the linux client on one of my computers. I started running it last night at around 11:15 with 2,500,000 steps. I woke up and checked it at about 9:45 and it's only at 19%.(175,000 steps) The is my first time to try folding and I just wondered if this is how long it should take? It's running on a P4 2.8ghz w/hyperthreading, with 512mb of ram, and integrated graphics. Thanks

Each work unit uses different amounts of resources and takes a different amount of time to complete. A couple days to process a WU is normal.

Ok thanks. But isn't there a deadline?

There should be a file called 'unitinfo.txt', located in your F@H folder, that should specify the due date for the unit.
Fold! And I don't mean your clothes!
