I dont even know how to share a folder on a mac, so any help would be appreciated

Perhaps a post in the Mac sub-forum will elicit a useful response. I know that derFunkenstein is a user of both Macs and Windows machines, and he may well have the knowledge you seek.
From my perspective, not using a Mac in many years, I'd expect that sharing directories/folders on a Mac since they've moved to a Unix-like OS should not be too hard to figure out. It should be easy enough to find information about in the OS's own help files. Since in Windows the information you're looking for is evident with a right mouse click on a folder, I have to think it's not much more involved for a Mac running OS X.umpty-'leven
