well the same error msg pops up...saying that the core has encountered an error and needs to shut down...even with the new 4670 installed

i did use the driver cleaner pro and all traces of nvidia are gone from my system

i have no idea why it isn't working the way it should...i'd like to contribute more you see so at least getting this thing running properly would make me feel better

so where do we go from here?

Try this: Log in as the administrator, install and run the client as the administrator.

thanks for the suggestion bro but i've already done that one time too many and it hasn't worked

This is very perplexing and I'm not sure where else we should go from here. I'll have to dig through the Stanford forums and see what I can find.
