GPU2 client stuck at 0/0

I've uninstalling and deleting the work directory, reconfigured from scratch, but it stays at 0/0 now. Hitting "Display" form the system tray icon brings up the protein display and it starts to work for about 5 seconds, then the performance and time left numbers blank out and sits there for 5 seconds. Then the performance and time left reappear for 5 seconds like its crunching numbers, then disappears again. Over and over. Has my 8800GTX given up its ghost? Seems to play games just fine still with no detectable artifacts.

Got any ideas?

Is it just the one GPU client on the computer? Other clients? SMP? Console? Do any clients have the same Machine ID?

I ran into this problem when I set up multi GPUs on my rig. Turns out I had both clients pointing to the same folder.

Thanks for the quick reply, nothing has changed in my configuration. I just left and came back and now its showing 240/8000. So I guess its working, but possible more slowly than before? I'm concerned that the "display" is doing some very erratic things. It shows progress, then blanks out the numbers, then other numbers appear in the performance area (different than before), then those blank out for a little bit. Then the old numbers return for 5 seconds, then blank out and on and on. I don't remember this happening before when I hit "display" but that was a long time ago I last did that. I dunno. I'm gonna keep and eye on it with fahmon and see if its is indeed going very slowly.

Those 8000 step work units seem to a take a good while to crunch; I think what you are seeing is mostly normal. I don't have FahMon on this system right now but I might consider installing it.

Never use the duisplay, d/l fahmon or fahspy. The viewer has many known bugs

I second the normal part,. My 260 takes like 4 mins per %, my 8800gt is over 6mins.

I concur, the F@H viewer for the NVidia GPU client is horked up! :x

Use FahMon or FahSpy as recommended by Patonb. :D

Has FahSpy dropped off the face of the earth or something? I can't seem to find its "official" site anymore. Does it even have info on the new projects?
