Need a home for a UGN node

In a short while I will no longer be able to run the node I have folding for the UGN. I intend to keep it running for as long as possible, but it is soon going to become very impractical.
I would like this node to live on, and continue to fold for the UGN if possible.
If anyone reading this is willing to take ownership of the node, please feel free to PM me, and I will tell you the details.
Shipping to the continental North America will be on me.

Someone please help keep the UGN alive.

What's the config? Was that one of those from Jeffry?

Yes, it is one of the nodes from jeffry. It came with a Q6600, and 3 8800GTS 512 cards. Unfortunately one of the cards died some time ago, so it's only a dual gpu node.

My wife would kill me if more computer equipment came to live here...

My little lady is coming closer and closer to homicide if I don't start to give up some of this computer hardware hoarding. :P

I wish I could afford the electrical bill :( 15+ cent kWh blows.

Folding was much easier when I lived in a college dorm.

Does she even notice when the equipment goes straight to that mancave crawlspace of yours? ;)

She would notice the large box showing up on our doorstep...

I catch enough flak for never throwing out any of my own old stuff; I suspect that hoarding other people's crap too would cross a line!

That is why you get it shipped to the office and sneak it into the house when she is not around

Heh... yeah, done that a few times. Generally smaller stuff though -- easier to just cram into my briefcase.

Did manage to get the pile of Cheftec full tower cases (5 of 'em!) in here though, so I suppose anything is possible!

Ever put a kill-a-watt to that node and see how much juice it draws?

I haven't, but I can't deny that it does have an impact on the electric bill.

I am going to venture a guess the system at full load draws somewhere around 400-450 Watts. (2 GPU's that is)

Time is getting a bit short. I'm re-upping this thread in hopes someone volunteers. If I don't get an offer soon, the UGN will take a major hit quite soon. I do not want that, so anyone willing please let me know soon.

Thanks.

EDIT: If my math on my bills is correct I would say that the 400-450W range is pretty close actually.

If there are no better options for you, I'm happy to do it. My home's AC won't be able to handle it (in addition to the 3 or 4 other quad cores that run my stat simulations), so it would be running only from Octoberish to Mayish. However, for those 8 months, it would have a good home because my sever rack has a shelf for a tower and an electrician recently installed a dedicated circuit with plenty of headroom.

But hopefully someone who can run it all year will take advantage of your offer instead.

I'll ask my parents but I doubt it.

Thanks for the offer fellows. I would of course pay for shipping, and it would come with everything that you would need.

@wibeasley: I do appreciate the offer. I was hoping to find someone willing to fold year round as I have. I suppose SOME folding is better than none though. I'll try and wait for some folks to offer full time folding. But I will be in touch if no one else steps up.

I can be an alternate host if things don't work out.

Hey M-cubed! Long time no forum post exchange! I just made a post in the UGN thread about having extra parts to make another node. Do you want some parts? :o

I can host a node, but I don't have the spare parts I used to have. It'd have to be fairly complete.

I am confident I have everything except a hard drive. I will look through my boxes. PM me with your address and I will ship out the node when I have all the parts together. Also let me know what types of video cards you want.

If parts are the problem, I could take it. Then max could send the other node to m^3 and spread around the ugn love.
