Sorry about dropping the ball on this. I did considerable, but far from extensive research and then lost track of it among the multitude of open tabs. I found mention of Fahcore 11 as far back as 2008 and they may have been used near the beginning of GPU folding in 2006. When the core 11 (charity triple check) work units finally ended Nvidia G80 (8000 series) and newer cards with 512MBs or more memory could still fold core 15 work units. Not sure if the core 15 work units are still being issued as my 9600GSO card only had 384MBs of memory. All GPU work units after core 15 require a Fermi or newer, or an AMD 5000 series or newer video card.
