TR March Madness 2010

Wed Mar 03, 2010 10:21 pm

Group is set up and invites have been sent from Yahoo! to all of last year's participants. If Yahoo forgot where you are or you weren't part of last year, PM me for details. Brackets close early afternoon Eastern Time 18 March 2010.

That is all.

Well I won this thing last year, I have to defend my honor. I have accepted your challenge and throw down my gauntlet.

Yahoo is offering the ability for established groups to play a second chance game starting with the Sweet 16. I've got 5 days to tell Yahoo yes/no and am wondering if anyone's interested.

Y'all got Yahoo invites for a second chance. You'll need to rename your team for this bracket.

1 Samuel 17: A champion named Goliath, who was from Kansas, came out of the Philistine camp. He was over nine feet tall....Now David was the son of an Ephrathite named Jesse, who was from Northern Iowa in Judah.... Then he took his staff in his hand, chose five smooth stones from the stream, put them in the pouch of his shepherd's bag and, with his sling in his hand, approached the Philistine.....As the Philistine moved closer to attack him, David ran quickly toward the battle line to meet him. Reaching into his bag and taking out a stone, he slung it and struck the Philistine on the forehead. The stone sank into his forehead, and he fell facedown on the ground.

This stuff never gets old, does it?

Sorta makes the second chance bracket a whole lot more appealing, eh?

I'm always amazed when my bracket gets shot to hell...yet remains in fairly strong contention (if the champion doesn't come out of the top seeds in the East).

There's a Yahoo bracket out there with a possible 187 of 192. Given the upsets in this tournament, someone needs to shut down that guy's TARDIS.

what the hell. This tournament has been CRAZY upsetting this year.

I lost a national championship game team - again - but fortunately I did not lose my winner. Yet. I did lose my winner in the original bracket, though, so I'm pretty well hosed. Still, Yahoo says I'm in the 78th percentile on the first bracket so I can hold my head high. Or something.
