Well if he's playing and is not "joinable" then he would have to invite you. You cannot invite yourself. And if you invite him to chat, then that's a chat invite, not a game invite.

Ah. But does he get a message in the middle of a song saying "Hey, this crazy person you've never heard of just sent you an invitation?" And what's the over/under on sending a 2nd request?

I wouldn't send it, especially in the middle of a Rock Band session.

I've gotten pings and stuff while in RB2. While it's mildly distracting, it's not like you're in the room going "Can I join? Can I? Can I?". I'd send a regular old text message saying 'WTF I R GAME' and wait. If they're interested, they'll likely pull up the mini-dashboard and invite you, once the current song is over.

Also, PLEASE WAIT! I hate it when someone texts me or invites to something and then drops offline 20-30 seconds later.

So far, I've picked up Halo 3, Fable 2, and Mass Effect. I'm mostly a PS3 gamer, but I wanted a 360 for some of those 360 only titles. I'm open to suggestions as well... I'm trying to decide which NBA game to buy.

Xbox Live is all about finding a group of good people to play with. The games I play (Halo 3, R6V2, GRAW 2, and other) I have groups that I play with, so I avoid all the kiddies and their foul mouths, the cheaters, the whiners, ect ect . . .

If someone comes in and causes a problem, they get the boot, plain and simple.

I bought it for the PS3 since I have several PS3-only friends that play it. If you haven't bought it yet and don't get a lot of replies in this thread, then maybe you should consider getting the PS3 version. That way you'll have at least one person (me) to play with. Regardless of which version you get, it's $15 well spent as it's just good plain fun. Also, you can use the BF1943 weapons in Bad Company 2 when it comes out later this year.

Most of the Ars guys I play with have it for the 360, so I got it for that. Great game though, really loving the retro gameplay and it's a solid shooter.
