That song from the crysis 2 trailer

Sun Apr 11, 2010 11:16 am

I saw the Crysis 2 preview from the shortbread yesterday on Shacknews.

Does anybody know the name of that song used in the first trailer on that page ? Really creepy sounding, it's really cool.

EDIT: also, did anybody else notice that the Empire State was in the background of the Flat Iron when looking south from madison square?

It's a creepier version of "New York, New york" (here's a version by Frank Sinatra, first one I found on Youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aqlJl1LfDP4 )

Personally I didn't care much for the Crysis 2 trailer and music, it just didn't do it for me I guess. I didn't like Warhead either, so I'm not expecting much from Crysis 2. But I'm still curious what the game will be like.

I like when the game developer provides big spoilers without necessarily meaning to.
Like the nanosuit being developed from alien technology. Way to make that real obvious there, guys.

That makes no sense whatsoever.

It wouldn't make sense because the special forces had it fully developed before any of the aliens were even discovered at all. If I remember correctly though, Crysis 2 may feature certain "improvements" to the suits, but I'm not sure how and what would come from defeated alien design.

As best I can recall there wasn't even a CryNet in the first game. I imagine there's a big reveal planned for midway through the game, involving a big evil (or ambiguous) corporation and some covered-up discoveries elsewhere. *shrug*
Or possibly CryNet doing some other research on weapons platforms that have gotten out of control. Who knows. But I think there were cloaking alien enemies in the first game, weren't there?

I don't recall. I know there were Koreans with stolen nanosuit technology, but they weren't as alien as that.

I tend to agree with Meadows. If you ever looked at those fake brochures for the nanosuit Crytek makes for fans like me, they kinda explain the technology pretty openly. None of that "top secret technology" language.
