Requirments for 3d games/blueray

Sun Jul 11, 2010 10:38 pm

Ok so I have a ps3 and am realy excieted bout the prospect of 3d games and blueray(mainly the blueray). There in lies my deilema what do I need in order to enjoy these when they fully come out??I doubt my current 40" 1080p 60hz Bravia will be sufficient(even though it would be awesome if it did I really like my current tv).do you have to fork out the money for one these newfangled supper exspensive 3d tv's.or would something with a 120hz refresh and hdmi1.4 capabilities be enough. All I can seem to find online about this is Sony pushing there 3d tv's in conjuction with the updates.what I can't find however is the sorta " min requirement" for 3d games blueray. Which is really all I'm intrested in.
Amd Phenom 2 560(unlocked to 4 cores at 3.8ghz),xfx Radeon 6870 (ty again tr ^^ ),Cooler master haf case, 4gb of drr3 1600 ram, win7 ultimate 64bit

to be able to view 3d content you're going to need one those newfangled super expensive 3d tvs. for just non-3d blu-ray content though, your current tv is fine

A new TV and active glasses for every member of your family/friends. Oh and a SW/FW update from Sony.

Ehh that's what i was afraid of.Not all badnews though found this 3d ready tv from samsung going for only 12-1300.Was mainly just worried that they were all in 2-3k+ range which is far more than what i'm willing to save up and spend on a tv.

Amazon is selling a 50" Samsung 3DTV for $1544 right now. :) Prices are going to drop pretty quickly as the panel manufacturers start building 120 and 240Hz LCDs in quantity.
Core i7 920, 3x2GB Corsair DDR3 1600, 80GB X25-M, 1TB WD Caviar Black, MSI X58 Pro-E, Radeon 4890, Cooler Master iGreen 600, Antec P183, opticals
