WTF Apple.

When jailbroken, something (an app I installed?) made it run down the battery with substantially greater rapidity and pump out more heat. Obviously the safety mechanisms should be in place so that a software glitch doesn't set the thing on fire, but it's certainly quite possible that sans the jailbreak this incident wouldn't have happened. It sucks and all, but I can certainly see Apple's side as well as yours on this.
