Hybrid waterblock

Sun Aug 01, 2010 12:52 pm

Has anyone seen a combination of both a WC waterblock and an aircooler? i think it would be pretty useful if the aircooling part wasn't to big

Why would you even want this?

I assume the OP does not understand the efficiency of heat pipes.

if you think about it, it kind of already exists...its just the air-cooler part is separated from the waterblock in the form of a radiator / fan setup.

at any rate, i wouldn't want such a thing. if additional cooling is what you're after, there are simpler options available (larger radiator; more powerful fans, etc).

It would just end up venting all of that hot air into the case though.

It would successfully defeat the purpose of water cooling >.<
